I like to protect children. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with having adult programming for mature adults that can selectively decide what they want to watch and what they don’t want to watch. All children have the right to live in an environment free from abuse and neglect. The safety of children is the paramount concern that guides child protection efforts.
Children need a family and a permanent place to call home. A sense of continuity and connection is central to a child’s healthy development. Therefore, child protection efforts focus on keeping children with their families as long as their safety can be maintained. Children deserve nurturing environments that promote their cognitive, psychological, and behavioral development, as well as social and emotional competence and physical health. When children are considered to be unsafe, child protection practices must consider methods for supporting families so that the well-being of children is achieved.
A safe and permanent family is the best place for child ren to grow up. Every child has a right to adequate care and supervision and to be free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It is the responsibility of parents to see that the physical, mental, emotional, educational, and medical needs of their children are met. Some others, intervene only when parents request assistance or fail, by their acts or omissions, to meet their children’s basic needs adequately, cause physical or emotional harm, or fail to keep them safe.
So, let us study an example which is as follows if you imagine walking with your child from gate to gate in a busy airport. With the excitement of the journey ahead and all that traveling entails, you may be feeling a little preoccupied. Your attention could easily be diverted for a few seconds. By that time, your little ones could be out of sight. The last thing you want or need is your children to run off into a crowd, or a dangerous area. This is not the time for exploration, but it may be the time to use a better method to identify children. In this case, we have to report this issue to nearby members and start looking for police and mentioning it in the announcement in order to find the child.
Regardless of any criticism from strangers, keeping your children away from harm is what matters. Safety is more important now for a child. so, we must be conscious if we take children to these places and we must protect them from these things. The goal is to keep chil dren in the home when safe to do so, and the parents’ participation is key.
Constantly watching over your children’s every move may not be possible, even at home. So, we have to send them to school to get all good habits and gain some knowledge as it is one of the best ways, for the safety of a child. Personal safety is also important for each and every child in society.
Personal Safety empowers children to take part in their own protection by giving them age-appropriate information, skills, and self-esteem. Personal Safety teaches children to understand their emotions to help keep them safe, using fear and anger in positive ways. Personal Safety builds the support system of each child, including the family, school, community, and friends.
Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first. So, let us be that parent in every child’s life.
