Digital Education Progress, During 2019-20 when India and the entire world were fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, Digital Education in India was the sole source of learning for the students in the country. Digital Education has been way forwarded. Developing quality e-content in local languages, to address the diversity of Indian languages. Addition of skill development courses, virtual labs, virtual vocational training. Framing of Online/Digital Education Guidelines addressing the digital divide. Developing digital classrooms by integrating education systems and technology. Developing framework for assessments in the era of digital education. Making sure of coherent user experience by multi-mode access to education through Mobile apps, web portals, TV channels, radio, podcasts. To enable “anytime, anywhere” access and increase penetration, the focus will be on increasing the usage of mobile phones. Priority for providing complete access to any time, anywhere e-content and e-infrastructure is for all learners in schools; however, e-content is being developed with slightly varied priorities – Grades 12 to 9 covering 6.3 crore children will be the topmost priority. The next in the table of priorities will be from grades 8 to 6 covering students’ strength of 6.4 crore children. For grades 5 to 1, the priority will be on numeracy and foundational literacy. To leverage e-learning resources, teachers will be up-skilled.

Digital Education Progress, With educational institutes closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has been encouraging online education to achieve academic continuity. Most high-end private and public institutions have made the switch smoothly using online platforms such as Zoom, Google classrooms, Microsoft teams, etc., while many still find it a herculean task. The challenges of online education are multifaceted. It is time that we Indians, as a society, understand the realms of online education – in India, for India. Nowadays, online study materials are easily available. Even if the entire education system is not digitalized, yet students can leverage the power of digital content depending upon their capabilities. So, students can access exclusive online study modules of various subjects, which help them to enhance their knowledge even without a teacher. Interactive online presentations or practical sessions in educational content through interactive screen time help the students to pay more attention to details which enable them to complete their activities on their own.
With online education, students can even further connect with distant counselors and faculty to seek guidance or resolve queries. Digital learning becomes a very usual occurrence in the modern world. With the emergence of the internet stank of chances has opened in front of the modern world. The digital education system revolutionized the old chalk and board process of learning in classrooms. It has made learning mobile, interactive and engaging, motivating students to take an interest in digital learning and maintain it. Most of the schools and institutions are adopting this technology as a solution while the traditional education system is suspended for some time because of the currently prevailing condition and hence it is very crucial for us. Digital learning is more than only offering students a laptop. Digital learning needs a blend of technology, instruction, and digital content.
